Over my life I have memorized pi to several place (double precision), 3.14159265358979.
So, how accurate would this be on calculating the circumference of the earth. The diameter of the earth is about 7,917.5 miles. Comparing the circumference of the earth calculations using my pi above vs a more exact pi=3.141592653589793115997963468544185161591, the difference is only 1.56 millionths of an inch.
